Specialist Beds for Sandwich Bay Ward

Patients on Sandwich Bay Ward, especially those receiving end of life care or who are difficult to position, are now benefiting from two specialist beds we funded at a combined cost of £5k. The beds, one of which is shown being demonstrated by Ward Manager Atim, are fully adjustable, electrically operated and incorporate a lateral tilt that assists staff with turning the patient. This significantly enhances the patient's comfort as well as reducing the physical strain on nursing staff.
